This silly story is all about my dog Gibson. Yes, his name is Gibson. He is a Goldendoodle with an attitude. He is cute and cuddly, but he is also stubborn. He gets along with my two cats (most of the time. LOL), and he likes to sleep and walk (but not very far). In this book, he is trying to teach you about opposites. He tries to do his best, but sometimes he is just tired or doesn’t feel like doing the work. It is okay to feel tired, mad, sad, or even angry, but please know you can control how you deal with those emotions. You can change how you act and how you behave. Please believe me when I say this: YOU ARE LOVED, YOU ARE WORTH IT, YOU ARE ENOUGH. Do the best you can do.

This book is a chapter book for PreK-4th graders. I hope to reach my younger audience with stories about a young puppy. Rufus, the golden retriever puppy, lives in a loving home where making mistakes are learning opportunity. In this small volume, I have strung together eight flash fiction where the reader can follow along with Rufus as he falls into one mischief after another. In each story, Rufus, being a puppy, gets into trouble. Sometimes Rufus receives help from other creatures, like Kraus, the grouchy old cat, often a guest in the house, and he frequently creates situations where Rufus gets himself into tight spots. Not that Rufus needs much help to get into trouble. His middle name is Trouble. His family has a lot to deal with when this pup is concerned, but they love him anyway.
I hope you enjoy it, as I enjoyed creating the stories, and my mom enjoyed drawing the pictures.
